Rates for each Care Provider depend on their specific credentials and background, within 3 distinct levels of experience:
ASSOCIATE CARE PROVIDERS (click drop down for definition)
(AMFT, APCC, ACSW, AP, RP, etc.)
Associate Care Providers are registered and qualified to perform therapeutic services under the license and supervision of a Licensed Clinical Supervisor.
Associate Care Providers have:
A Master's or Doctoral degree
At least 2,000 hours of hands-on experience
Passed the Law & Ethics state board examination required to become licensed
A current registration with their state's professional board and a current malpractice insurance policy
Completed at least 20 sessions of their own therapy so they know how it feels to be a client.
Passed through our rigorous vetting process
LICENSED CARE PROVIDERS (click drop down for definition)
(LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, LEP, LP, etc.)
Licensed Care Providers are licensed and qualified to perform therapeutic services independently and without supervision.
They all have:
A Master's or Doctoral degree
At least 3,000 hours of hands-on experience
Passed both Law & Ethics and Clinical state board examinations and completed all required education and training necessary to become a fully licensed clinician
A current license with their state's professional board and a current malpractice insurance policy
Completed at least 20 sessions of their own therapy so they know how it feels to be a client.
Passed through our rigorous vetting process
SPECIALIZED CARE PROVIDERS (click drop down for definition)
(EMDRIA Certified, AASECT Certified, etc.)
Specialized Care Providers are licensed and qualified to perform therapeutic services independently, without supervision, and have additional training and/or certifications in their particular areas of expertise (like OCD, PTSD, EMDR, & Sex Therapy)
They all have:
A Master's or Doctoral degree
At least 3,000 hours of hands-on experience
Additional training and/or certifications that allow them to perform specialty services in a particular area of expertise
Passed all required education, training, experience, and examination requirements to be considered an independent licensed clinician
A current license with their state's professional board and a current malpractice insurance policy
Completed at least 20 sessions of their own therapy so they know how it feels to be a client.

Our Care Packages
As is normal at Caring Connected, we asked ourselves what we'd want if we were seeking help. That's why one of our first decisions was to shorten the industry standard 48-hour cancelation window to 24 hours. And while that's helpful, we wanted to take things a step further by offering unique, optional Care Packages that give you the freedom and flexibility you deserve.

PLEASE NOTE: All Care Packages are non-refundable so please keep in mind if you decide to discontinue treatment before you have attended all sessions in a Care Package, partial or pro-rated refunds for any unused sessions will not be possible. Additionally, if you cancel, reschedule, or no-show for a session without at least 24 hour notice, that session will count as one of the pre-paid sessions. Care Packages are offered on a "per treatment unit" basis (a single individual is a treatment unit, members of a couple seen together are a treatment unit, members of a family seen together are a treatment unit, etc.); thus, different treatment units and session types cannot be combined within a single Care Package. Additionally, the last sessions in the Care Package (i.e., 11th, 21st/22nd, 31st/32nd/33rd, or 25-minute remote sessions) will be considered the free sessions. All sessions within the Carefree 10 must be used within 90 days. All sessions within the Carefree 20 must be used within 180 days. All sessions within the Carefree 30 must be used within 365 days. Financial Policies and Procedures
PAYMENTS
Payments are accepted via credit, debit, Health Savings Account (HSA), or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards. Caring Connected keeps your card on file and runs it for you after each session. Payment by cash or check in person can be arranged on a case-by-case basis.
Please make personal checks out to Caring Connected, LLC. Please note, there will be a $25.00 charge for any returned checks or undepositable funds.
We reserve the right to employ a 3rd party collections agency to assist us in collecting any outstanding or unpaid balances (which would require us to share your contact information and balance due with said agency).
LATE FEES
As a courtesy, you will not be charged late fees if payment is made within one week after a session occurs; however, for any outstanding balances older than one week, you will be charged a late fee of $10.00 (per week that payment is late). Please note that treatment may be discontinued if sessions are not paid on time.
RATE ADJUSTMENTS
Our rates are reviewed annually and adjusted based on inflation, costs of practice, new services offered, or additional credentials obtained by Care Providers. We will attempt to provide reasonable notice of any rate changes.
CANCELATIONS
24-hour notice is required for cancelations of scheduled sessions or you will be charged your full established session fee. When a session is scheduled, you are reserving that time and space with your Care Provider; thus, if you miss a session, that time becomes unusable for other clients. Exceptions for extenuating circumstances will be granted on a case-by-case basis. Contact your Care Provider for all scheduling related items, including cancelations, NOT your Care Coordinator.
INSURANCE
Our Care Providers do not accept insurance; therefore, it is your responsibility to pay the full fee at or before the beginning of each session. However, your insurance company may fully or partially reimburse you for the cost of your sessions if your specific plan includes coverage for "out-of-network" mental and behavioral health services and/or psychotherapy, therapy, or counseling. Please note that your insurance company might not reimburse any out-of-network mental or behavioral health care costs.
Upon request, your Care Coordinator can provide you with a "superbill" (a receipt you may send to your insurance company in order to obtain any reimbursement). Superbills include date(s) of service, relevant billing codes, and insurance-required information about your diagnosis (if applicable) and Care Provider.
HOW INSURANCE WORKS AND WHY WE DON'T ACCEPT IT
Insurance companies often limit the number of sessions you can attend, try to dictate certain aspects of your treatment, request private clinical information, and require that you be given a psychiatric diagnosis (i.e., a mental disorder or illness) in order to pay for treatment. Even though most personal challenges are not the result of a diagnosable mental disorder/illness, most insurance plans still require clients to have a psychiatric diagnosis in order to receive any coverage for treatment. This means a mental disorder/illness would become part of your medical record.
Having a mental disorder/illness on your medical record may cause problems for you later. For example, job applications, employers, and health, life, and automobile insurance companies often ask, "Have you ever been diagnosed with a mental illness?" or "Do you have a mental disability?". Answering these questions affirmatively may have an effect on your ability to obtain employment or future insurance coverage (in other words, your diagnosis would be considered a "pre-existing condition").
Caring Connected chooses not to accept insurance, in part, to ensure that any diagnosis and/or other private personal information would never need to be divulged to an insurance company (unless you choose to submit to them for reimbursement). By not accepting insurance, we also ensure that you are never subject to any insurance reviews of your treatment or progress, nor could anyone but you and your Care Provider decide on how many sessions you want/need to attend.
